Cloud and AI pricing, inside your AI agent
Add one URL and Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code, Codex or VS Code becomes a pricing assistant: live prices and specs for 1000+ AI models, usage cost estimates, benchmarks, and Azure, AWS and GCP instance lookups, all as read-only tools over the Model Context Protocol. The Free URL needs no sign-in; the Subscribed URL runs the same tools with your CloudPrice subscription.
Add it to your client
No sign-in. Free-tier data: on-demand and spot prices, the first regions.
https://cloudprice.net/api/mcp/data-free- In claude.ai or Claude Desktop open Settings, Connectors, then Add custom connector.
- Name it
CloudPrice, paste the server URL and leave the OAuth fields empty: the server needs no authentication. - Ask for a price, e.g. What does 1M input and 200K output tokens cost on Claude Opus 5 vs GPT-5.5?
Things to ask
The agent picks the tools; you ask in plain language.
Tools
12 read-only tools, the same data and daily updates as the site and the REST API. Every tool works on the Free URL; Subscription for more marks the ones the Subscribed URL extends.
Frequently asked questions
Using the server
Is the MCP server free?
The Free URL is: no account, no API key, rate-limited per IP (60 requests a minute); a CloudPrice API key sent as an x-api-key header raises the limit. The Subscribed URL adds subscriber data (every region, reserved and savings-plan prices, cross-cloud alternatives) and needs a CloudPrice subscription.
Which clients work?
Any MCP client that supports remote servers over Streamable HTTP: Claude (web, desktop, mobile), Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, Codex, Zed and your own agents built on an MCP SDK. Stdio-only clients can use mcp-remote as a bridge.
Can I self-host it or read the tool schemas?
The server is remote only. Any client shows the tool list and input schemas after connecting; the REST equivalents are documented in the OpenAPI spec on the AI Models API page and on the developer portal.
Data and access
Does it need authentication?
There are two servers with the same tools. The Free URL needs no sign-in and returns the free tier. The Subscribed URL is for subscriber data (every region, reserved and savings-plan prices, cross-cloud alternatives): your client opens the CloudPrice sign-in once when you add it, then every tool runs with your subscription. Nothing else to configure, no API key.
What does the agent get access to when I connect my subscription?
Read-only pricing data with your subscription, nothing else: it cannot see billing, change your account or act on your behalf anywhere but this server. Removing the connector in your client stops it from using the server. The access it holds lasts at most an hour per token, and the connection lapses after 90 days without use; to cut one off right away, write to [email protected].
Is the data the same as on the site and the REST API?
Yes. The tools call the same services as cloudprice.net and the AI Models API, with the same daily updates. On the Free URL the cloud tools show the free tier of the site (on-demand and spot prices, the first regions, same-cloud alternatives); on the Subscribed URL they show what the site shows you.
Prefer plain HTTP? The AI model data is also a free REST API and the cloud pricing API lives on the developer portal.
